Passages of a different wedding, full of magic and color. Weeks ago, Bina & Sushaan had their ceremony in this great setting. A few moments before this, and according to tradition, wearing an achkan with a turban and jootis (a traditional shoe), surrounded by his family and male friends; the groom arrived at the place of the ceremony beginning the celebration of the Baraat.

With a bit of sand on our feet, dancing in front of the sea with an incredible energy (which it makes a lot of sense… we were in Cancun) and with the ones that you always want to be close to; Silvana and Carlos had their wedding in one of the most spectacular places in Mexico. Here's a little preview of what we experienced a week ago.
Thank you friends for allowing me to be on this important day! Congratulations! ✨
PS: the next one will be with some Pilsen instead of tequila! 🇵🇾❤️🇲🇽 #lifeatweddings

I met Emilie and Eloy at the Roma neighborhood in Mexico City. We chatted for a while over a good coffee and they told me about their wedding plans in Oaxaca. Almost a year later we were in the city of mezcal to start a 3-day wedding journey that took us to a restaurant, a barbershop, a nail salon and a terrace with views of Santo Domingo. On the day of their wedding we went for a walk around the city a few hours before starting the preparations and we didn't stop until 5 in the morning. An ancestral ceremony out of this world. Calenda and mezcal to accelerate the heart. French and Mexicans shouting their national anthem at the top of their lungs. A party that did not stop for a second.
Wedding madness!
Thanks for being the absolute BEST. It was an honor to be able to document your wedding.

Venue / Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City
Liz and Chris's wedding took place at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico City. One of those small and intimate weddings that have so much to give. Originally from the city of Atlanta, with friends coming from different parts of the United States and a large part of the bride's family, from Mexico. We had a great time walking through the corridors of the hotel and even in the middle of Reforma Avenue. They had a ceremony overlooking the trees that adorn the hotel's garden -I think, its greatest attraction-. They say that olive trees bring prosperity, and if I remember correctly, I counted more than 5. What a great way to start this new adventure. I wish you the best! Thank you for allowing me to be with you on this very important day (and for daring to jump windows onto forbidden balconies).
Cheers! 🌿 #lifeatweddings

From the first video call with Coco and Jerrod I felt an incredible vibe from them. Always with a big smile and great emotion when telling me about their plans and why they had chosen Oaxaca as the place for their wedding.
We had an amazing three-day journey. From drinks on the rooftop of Boulenc Bed & Bread watching the sunset fall over the city, some delicious dishes in Criollo to set the palate of the guests, and finally, dipping the tongue with a little mezcal on the terrace of Pitiona with views of Santo Domingo.
We started the day of the wedding at the Hotel Azul. A beautiful set for a great first look, some bike rides in the hotel corridors (good times), surprising children in the streets with such good looks, and then getting into the city traffic heading to Casa Dos Lagos.
The setting they chose for their ceremony was simply spectacular. Their vows were beyond words. One of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever been to.
Calenda. Mezcal. Ice cream. Non stop dance. Simply Oaxaca.
Please take a look at the entrance (it was amazing). Again great speeches worthy of awards. Friends playing a song for their first dance as married couple. A great party (with all that energy that was felt from the very beginning).
The mariachis closed the wedding as in so many others in Mexico.
Coco & Jerrod, what a pleasure to meet you. You are truly incredible beings. I wish you the best that this life can bring you.

San Miguel de Allende Wedding Photographer // Mikayla & Ive
PARTNERS:
Wedding Venue / Casa Adela
Mikayla and Ive's wedding took place at the beautiful Casa Adela on the outskirts of San Miguel de Allende. From the lands of Kentucky, home of good bourbon, they packed their things and decided to change whiskey for mezcal for a moment. Along with their family and closest friends, they were married on a rooftop overlooking the countryside. The best example of why small weddings are also so powerful. Simply wonderful.

Puebla Wedding Photographer // Betty & Fer
The day started early in the morning at Betty’s house (right in the heart of Puebla City). There was a lot of talk about how they met each other, where they studied, what kind of plants Betty's mom had in her garden and also they introduced us to the cats (lords of the home). Then we moved to Fer’s apartment in San Andrés Cholula, where he was getting ready with his mom, dad and sister. At the best corner of the house, the TV was on and AC Milan and Atalanta were 0-0 (we agreed that we don’t like Zlatan that much and that we both love football). Talked about Club León and Boca Juniors. After a beautiful and intimate religious ceremony (*this was January 2021—middle of COVID crisis—when there were still no vaccines in Mexico) we drove around 45 minutes to their reception dinner in Las Calandrias Hotel—Atlixco, Puebla. The food was delicious, and even more so, with a fun chat with the bride’s family. They had a hell of a party! 💃🎉🕺
Many thanks to my friend Cesar Pórroga for making me part of the wedding team.
Hope you enjoy these frames! 🌾 #lifeatweddings

Update (September 14th, 2022). This was the first wedding I shot entirely with one lens (Fujinon 18mm f2 + Fuji X-Pro2). Because of this wedding, I'm seriously thinking of putting aside my 23mm (35mm FF equivalent). I just love how it looks.
